This last Saturday I met an amazing family, the Boyles. I couldn't believe how much they all genuinely liked each other! Not that it's unusual to like your family members but it's rare that kids are excited and happy to have family photos taken. The kids were hugging, laughing, holding hands, I hardly even had to ask! You could just see the love for each other in their eyes. It was so sweet.
Thanks for the fun time guys!

C is for CULL
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to take photos for the Cull family before their oldest daughter Cali went away to college. Mike and Chris are the most amazing people and not to mention fantastic parents. Their girls Cali and Summer are sweet, smart, all around wholesome kids. The whole time I was taking their photos I was mentally taking notes on how they parent and function as a family. Not that Ally and Hudson are teenagers...but they will be soon enough.
I so look up to families as well rounded as the Culls. Our kids are still really little, but every day I think about how Dan and I parent, and how every move we make affects what kind of kids/teenagers/adults Ally and Hudson will grow up to be. How we respond to them, how we talk to them, what and who we expose them to, and how we treat each other all plays a giant role in what kind of a person they will be.
Long story short, I just love this family. I'm so thankful to have such great parenting role models in our lives. Thanks Cull Family for the fun time at Howarth Park!

Chasing Audrey
I woke up Saturday to the sound of rain pelting on my roof. NO! I was supposed to do family pictures at noon. Rose called and was totally bummed out because she was really looking forward to the shoot. I reminded her we live in Washington and even though it was pouring, it could be 80 degrees by five. So we played it by ear and sure enough we met at 2 under blue skies. Jesus granted us an hour window of dry weather because as soon as we wrapped up, I felt raindrops on my head. Later that night the rain came and boy did it pour.
Their little girl Audrey is a busy little thing! I forgot how fast they can just dash and dart away. She left me in a sweat after chasing her for an hour. She is so darling though, I didn't mind. 2 is such a great age. Even though you don't get a chance to catch your breath most of the time, cherish it because it goes by way too fast.
Thanks Jarrod, Rose and Audrey for a fun time at the park!
